Start with what the system needs to do.
Whether it’s a wearable sensor or an EV maintenance message, the useful question comes first: what information is needed, where does it go, and what happens if it arrives late?
The person behind the projects
I’m Abdelrahman. My background is in electronics and communications, and I’m based in Montreal. I’m curious about how individual pieces become a working system.
That curiosity has taken me from sensors and embedded prototypes to communication networks and industrial research. I enjoy moving between the physical device, the software around it, and the connections that let the whole thing work.
See that in my projectsHow I work
Whether it’s a wearable sensor or an EV maintenance message, the useful question comes first: what information is needed, where does it go, and what happens if it arrives late?
Integration is a big part of my work. I like tracing a problem through interfaces, protocols, and software, then testing the behavior rather than stopping when the components run.
Experiment notes, network diagrams, and clear explanations matter to me. A result is more useful when someone else can understand the setup and follow how it was reached.
A broader view
My bachelor’s degree at E-JUST gave me a foundation in electronics and communications. My master’s in Industrial Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal brought that into the context of maintenance and reliability: understanding what a communication system needs to support in the real world.
The EV maintenance projectLearning through teaching
Teaching has been another way to work through difficult ideas. At E-JUST, I supported courses and labs across circuits, signals, communications, and mathematics. Later, I co-lectured in fault analysis and maintenance at Polytechnique.
I enjoy the step between a concept on the board and something you can measure, test, or explain in your own words.
Teaching experience and coursesBeyond the technical work
University was also about people. Through the student association and the operations team at E-JUST, I helped represent students, organize events, and bring campus initiatives together.
Outside work, I paint, listen to music, watch films, and take photos. The other side of this site is a small collection of those things.
